Supervision is the cornerstone of our fellowship. Fellows receive dedicated, individualized supervision from experienced Psychiatric Nurse Practitioners and collaborating psychiatrists with expertise in senior and geriatric mental health.

Clinical supervision focuses on:

  • Collaboration with assisted living staff and families

Fellows participate in both independent and collaborative onsite clinical experiences within senior living environments.

Gradual Caseload Development
Fellows build their caseloads incrementally while providing care to seniors in assisted living communities. This structured progression allows fellows to focus on learning the unique clinical, functional, and social considerations of older adults—without the pressure of immediate full productivity.

Onsite Clinical & Rotational Experiences
Fellows rotate across Willow Park Health’s assisted living and senior living partner communities, gaining exposure to:

  • Assisted Living

  • Independent Living

  • Memory Care

These experiences are paired with consistent supervision and mentorship. Fellows must be willing and able to travel between senior living sites as part of their training.

  • Evidence-based geriatric psychiatry
